I know it looks like coralline algae, but the piece to the right is hanging in by a small piece and it’s blowing in the flow.

Is it a sponge, or something I need to be rid of?

Thanks!

Hard to say. I don't see any holes (small ones for intake or big ones for exhale). But it still could be a sponge. I'm a naturalist and I'd let it go for now. Unless you have a tank full of expensive sps coral, I'd take the risk which I think is probably low and acceptable.

Let's try and get some more eyes on it. #ReefSquad

Do you have high nutrients in your tank? I see your rock is green and corals are brown?

Corals aren’t brown. Just the picture. Here’s a tank shot. Nitrates are 25. Phosphates .07
Your no3 is high and your po4 i keep my no3 3-5 and po4 0.01-0.05 but thats another topic many reefers will have different ranges if it works for you why not.

Good looking tank, I wouldn't sweat those nitrate and phosphate numbers, especially if the corals are growing and looking good. Hard to say on the ID though.
