ok so what is this?

Ok so I was moving some rock and found this its not a sponge like I thought.

The pink-red thing? Actually doesn't really look like a sponge to me, is it soft?

No its brittle and hard now I don't know what it is hope you do anybody else wanna take a stab ?

possibly an old tube to a duster covered in pink algae?

Definitely not a sponge. I don't know what it is though. The duster tube is possible.

That's what I was thinking but its pink and in the pic on the left side of it it looks like a leaf that was the "top" when I found it I have no clue what it is ill just keep a eye on it and see what happens
