I have this sponge looking stuff growing within my Zoas. Is this bad, good, anything to worry about? I picked a little and it came right off.

SPONGE AND CLAMS ALWAYS SEEM TO FIND ZOA.

I have this pale link sponge growing "under" a large yellow-brick-road zoa colony. I only see it when the polyps close after feeding the tank. At one point I was brushing to remove it, but proved pointless. It just came back.

The good news is that this colony is the fastest growing one in my frag tank, so you should be OK.

Hey Gonzo, I have a similarly sized colony of Zoa...just like in your photo I have sponge around them and only half the colony will open! Any suggestions? How did your Zoa do in the long run? I realise this is an old post but hey! Cheers!
