Sponge? Just found under a torch

Hi guys- just found this under one of my torches- it’s the size of a quarter and appears to be a colony of 20-30 sponges.

Thoughts?

Pineapple sponge to be exact, if your tank is big enough, any of the larger angels (French, queen, grey, etc) will keep them under control. Otherwise, they’re a harmless filter feeder, makes your water just that tiny bit cleaner. I have a couple of these and love em!

These aren’t pineapples. I’ve got hundreds in my 350g system and QTs. This is very different looking. Dozens of individual openings and a colony type formation
