So I had myself an absolutely insane idea after getting into pottery. I’m thinking of making a several gallon (3-6 depending on the size mold I can get my hands on) clay sphere to use as an aquarium with a plexiglass window. My plan for this is either just a power head and sea sponges or if I can make one big enough (5+ gallons) and it’s just too small for sponges using a canister and going freshwater with a betta. Basically I’m looking for any info on sponges (tank size etc) I can get.

In my experience with sponges, they tend to come and go. Can’t say I’ve ever seen a sponge only tank. I’d imagine having some biodiversity in there would help to keep them fed and happy.
