Hey Guys,

I've been noticing these guys growing in the crevices in rock work and in the overflow on the tank. The seem to retract during the day and expand their tentacles? at night.

Any idea what these are and if they could be an issue? They don't really seem to be bothering anything, but there are some growing in/around corals as well.

The tentacles look like aiptasia, but the white poof in the middle right of the first picture looks almost like a pineapple sponge. I've never seen them anywhere but on rocks before

I’m talking about the tentacles with the circular body…I can really only see them at night.

Anemone. Most likely aiptasia
Well dang… I thought I was doing pretty good keeping that out. No idea where they came from. But It’ll be dang near impossible to remove them by hand with where they are in the rocks.

Looks like aiptasia then. F Aiptasia or Aiptasia X are common products if you can't reach them with super glue. If you can't reach them with the applicator, berghia are always an option!
