Sponges turned grey

They were normal until today but now there are grey. Why? I’m just worried this is a sign of something else going on in my tank.

Are you sure it's just not difference in lighting?

I have seen grey sponges.

Where the sponges exposed to air?

Well I just added a dog face puffer and it ate them so i assumes that’s why
