They're a good sign. It means your tank has just reach a level of maturity/nutrient level/water quality in which they can grow and survive. So the spores present in your tank were able to 'sprout', develop, and reproduce. Soon other types of life will should begin to appear on your rocks as well.

Interesting like what?
 
Assuming you started with dry rock (which it looks like from the pic), it depend on what else has or will find its way into your tank from coral frags, snail shells, etc. Coral spores, macro algaes, feather dusters or other inverts/crustaceans, more colorful and elaborate sponges, tunicates, copepods and amphipods... only the next 6-36 months can tell. That's one of the things that makes the hobby so intriguing and enjoyable.

definitely have macro algae’s a few small feather dusters few copepods tonight I found a few small brittle star fish best I can tell from my research anyway but I found this other wierd sponge behind my Duncan coral almost attached to it???
