It's too expensive. Just get this and dose .1ml/15gal for 1ppm (2.6ml for you). You want 2ppm. Get the Hanna checker as uptake varies. https://www.sciencecompany.com/Sodium-Silicate-Solution-16oz-P6375

Sponge Excel is just Sodium Silicate and there are far cheaper ways of dosing a pure solution as mentioned above.

Would I have to mix it with ro water or just dose it in a high flow area. Sorry for all the questions I never had to dose this stuff I’m battling a bad out brake in dinoflagellates

Start slow to learn uptake. It tops out at 2ppm so you want to hold just above 2ppm. It took me a couple of weeks to figure out how I would get >2.0 and then the next day I would get a reading. People have measured over 100ppm so don't worry if you are over 2ppm for a few days.

You mix with about 8oz of RODI. Shake the hell out of it and then pour into your return section. Clean your jar and syringe and do it again the next day. Don't get it on your hands or spill it. I used an old jar of fish food with a lid.

Failed... I had collia for over 2 years. I dosed for about 2 months and never had a diatom bloom but I did see them under the Microscope. My tank was 10 years old so the coriline was thick. I had a seam fail so started over with sterile rock. If you have these you probably won't beat them.
