What should I use to paint a steel stand?

I just used Trimclad for this as you will not see anything I just painted... As for you I would still say Trimclad but spray it on as it will give you a better finish. Just remember you don't have to paint it all in one day.. Take your time and it will turn out great.

This is coming along nicely. Hopefully when I own a house I can venture into a big tank and do something of this magnitude. Great job!

Yes there is a secret eaither I would get the stand powder coated..

Or use Matthews paint..

Starting with a HBPT primer

and finishing it off with SOA 202SP

The issue with this is that you will need a spray booth and a HVLP system. Not to mention about $12,000 is paint ...

The build has started

I had a little break to start enjoying my newest hobby


Quite a lot to do still but I am in full build mode now. I hope to pick up the tank next week!















I have decided to clad the whole tank in opaque white and 7328. (7328 is a type of white acrylic)
