I have a clownfish that has been in my tank for 5 months and yesterday I noticed he had one white spot on his side. I did QT him for 30 days but I did not treat him with anything because he didn't show any signs of disease. None of the other fish in the tank have any spots. Could this spot be ich or could it be dirt or sand or some kind of pimple?

Could be any of those things. Have you added any new fish that may have introduced something into your tank?

It maybe just sand. My tang and coral beauty got ich before my clowns did. I would keep a close eye on it. If more spots show up then quarantine all the fish. I used copper and hyper salinity to treat my fish when they had it.

It can't start with just one spot today and tomorrow be covered. It can be brought on by stress from water parameters begin off. Low ph, alkalinity, low level Amonia. What do you feed them

Well that sounds fine. Someone else might have a better idea but it sounds like it is fine. When my clowns got it they start getting a white slime coat before the spots.
