I got this gobe a week ago and all looked good till two days ago when this spot appeared. It's the only one I see on him. Does anyone know what it is?

Can you try for better focus? This shot is tough to make out any details on.....

Generally, with large spots like this on a new fish there are two common options; Lymphocystis virus or mechanical damage. I almost can see there is some finnage missing, so that would mean fin damage. What other animals are in with it?

Jay

He is in the QT tank by himself. I took like 50 pick of him and this is the best I could take. He is very shy.
When I got him he did jump from tank to tank so maybe he did get hurt.

Do you think I should treat the fish with anything to help it heal or wait and see?
Wait and see. I too suspect as Jay has either lymphocystis or fin ray damage. I suspect Lympho. If so, Lympho is a condition and not disease. Often its associated with water quality issue as simple as elevated ammonia or nitrate and can be that of water from LFS and not yours. Assure to provide Good water quality monitored by a reliable test kit and feed nutritious food with fats such as LRS nano frenzy and mysis shrimp.

That can be an issue f the sand doesn’t have a lot of food in it to begin with. Have you seen it eat any added foods?

Jay
I feed him shrimp pellets, fish pellets and in the same spot and he's been sifting that spot. I feed him
frozen shrimp every other day. The tank looks clean as I don't see any food left over.
