Hi guys, I'm hope you can help me Id this spot on my little clown's lower jaw. I noticed it yesterday. He's eating well and as far as I know not acting weird. Only had him for 8 days. No sign of anything on the damsel I have.

I'm hoping is not mycobacteriosis.

I've seen something similar many times in clowns. I call it "clownfish pimples". I have treated it successfully many times using the "trifecta" of antibiotics. Kanaplex, furan2 and metroplex... this should be done in a QT however for 10 days straight. It usually clears up before the 10 days are up but it's important to finish out the whole 10 days.

Thanks for the advice! I think he may just have bumped into a rock or something because it is no longer red and kinda looks like it starting to heal. i guess time will tell.

That's totally possible too!! lol I sincerely hope that's all it is since the "clownfish pimples" have killed clowns before.
