I just noticed a spot on my powder brown's head. Its acting normal as can be eating like a pig, scuffling with his yellow tang and bristletooth friends as usual. Ive been watching him most of the day without any odd signs. Could this be just a wound from a scuffle with another tang or signs of Hole in head? The rest of its body is normal without any abnromal findings.

I’m not a fish disease expert but it doesn’t look like a traumatic injury, and it doesn’t look like HLLE. It’s perfectly circular, raised and has a central clearing or white area. So it may be an infection due to parasite or bacteria, or possibly virus. Could also be a type of inflammatory growth. Maybe some other folks can weigh in. Following along!

Agree with injury. Keep a close eye on it. If it starts to get infected then you can feed kana +furan+focus for 2 weeks but for now just allow it heal on its own.

Looks like post-injury or gash that is healing.
Saltwater fish heal themselves well and quickly. keep an eye on it. You can add AP melafix to assure good healing but not necessary. Add vitamins to its' food and garlic extract also for continued health

It’s looking way smaller today and starting to fade quit a bit! My yellow is likely the culprit. I’ll need to watch him for a bit to see if he needs a time out.
