Greetings reefers,

Wanted to get suggestions as to what these white spots are? They appeared in the last 24 hours or so. It looks like they protrude from underneath, but cant really see the underside. Not sure what the white stringy root structure is around it, but its always been there. I cant tell if this is a pest, sting, or burn. I do have an infestation of digitate hydroids, though they've been there for a while(thats another thread). Could these be sting marks from them? Also added a torch 10 days ago, not really close to each other. I wonder about burning, as I just treated Aiptasia with Aip-X. Those pieces sort of fell off the rock and maybe drifted into the paly? Does that stuff burn? Sorry so many questions, and thanks for any help!

I have seen zoa pox and pest crabs ... this can be related to the former, but im not sure,,, zoa pox generally prevalent at the stalk not around the mouth, from what I recall. Lets see what others say

I was curious about the pox. I've been watching close, haven't seen crab. Tons of amphipods, brittle stars, and digi hydroids

Scrape those off that rock and the white stuff from the rock too. They will grow back soon if the system is good, stable with reef params and good light.
