Spots on tailspot blenny

Help my identify what he has please. I bought him Sunday and he looked fine this morning but I came home and he looks like this. He hides in the rock most of the time so I only saw his head this morning but I didn't notice any spots like he has now on his head and body.

That looks like normal stress coloration to me. Blennies have stress patterns that they use at night, when they’re scared, etc it should go away after he gets comfortable in your tank. If you see other signs of disease like white spots or white film on the skin then you should be concerned

Heres my lyretails night time stress patterns. See them every so often at night. Kinda cool. My blue tang turns mostly white too.

Agreed. Very skinny looking body compared to head. Looks emaciated. Also odd how hes in the same spot in both photos. Seems like he isnt very lively. OP, has this fish been eating? Your tank looks very very new. Has it cycled?

That tank has been up for over a year its a 5 gallon that was given to me a few months ago by a friend who moved. It is my QT tank now. He came with the rock from the pet store because he refused to come out of it, or else the rock would not be in my QT tank. He has been nipping at the rock but he doesn't explore much. His spots have mostly went away today other than on his head. There is algae on the tank glass and pvc pipe for him to eat as well. I have been giving him a few pellets to eat but he doesn't seem interested in them. He was in the tank with a yellow tailed damsel but I removed it. The damsel wasn't nipping at him but he would wave his tail fin at the blenny a lot. I assume that is why he got the white spots to begin with. The blenny seems much happier in the tank alone.
