if you can remove the rock and cut it outside of the tank is the best. They can release toxins when its cut. I would also add carbon to deal with. If you dont get all of it it will grow from any flesh that is left on the rockI want to keep this leather from spreading over the top of the rock because I have a couple of acros up there, can I just cut it at the base off of the rock? Will it release any toxins? I have some scapels I can use to slice it cleanly.![]()
I can try to take out the rock, it’s grown from the rock beneath so might have to cut it anyway to get the rock out, I do have carbon I can run, I was thinking after cutting it off I could cover the base that’s left with F-aptasia to kill it off.if you can remove the rock and cut it outside of the tank is the best. that could work. If you do have to cut in the water make sure you carbon is fresh and run for 24hrs min. NiceWell, I didn’t have to cut it, it peeled right off, it did squish a little tho so I have a fresh bag of carbon in my sump to hopefully help just in case![]()
