Will fish be fine only being feed every three days for two weeks. That's when the sitter is coming. I can also buy an automatic fish feeder too, if needed. She would put some seaweed in the clip and give a pinch of pellets. I have 2 clownfish, a chromis, a sailfin tang, and a coral beauty.

Following this post. I am used to freshwater fish that can survive days without food. I assumed that if I left my saltwater aquarium for days that I would need an automatic feeder and had already resigned myself to that but still following for advice.

I think I'll get the automatic fish feeder, and then have the sitter just add seaweed every 3 days so my grazers can have something to eat.

How long can my fire shrimp and sea serpents go without food, because I feed them once a week

You will be fine with the auto feeder provided your fish will eat what it dispenses. It's easy to over feed with an auto feeder and come back to a tank with algae so double, triple check the amount that comes out. Typically fish, if healthy, can go days even weeks without eating so you should be fine. I use an Ehiem auto feeder and it works great. When I have a tank sitter they'll typically come over every few days a feed frozen for me. I'll have a few pre made bags of the food I want them to feed and they just toss it in the tank. Your shrimp and starfish will be fine just feed them a nice chunk of meaty food when you get back.

If you trust the sitter to feed correctly, every 3 days is fine. Assuming you don't have high maintenance fish that truly require daily (Anthias come to mind).

They will be fine. I've been tank sitting one for going on 2 months. I've fed the fish on the same routine, twice a week. Maybe have the tank sitter put down an algae clip for the tang though after feeding the frozen.
