Can i buy a single springer damsel and expect it to do well?(since its a community fish), also will it pick on my cc starfish and brittle starfish? If i pair it would it become more aggressive? What if i keep it single would that make it hide more often, or become more aggressive?

Yes, it will perfectly fine as a single.

They are reef safe

Maybe, if they mate. I tried a pair of yellow tails in my 125, and it didn't work...possibly got 2 males, but not sure.

I have a single. It doesn't hide, but it is the wimpiest fish in my tank.

Behavior will depend a little bit on tank size and tankmates though.

Hope that helps.

The tankmates are 2" coral beauty angel, 2" clownfish(hes super peaceful though), 2" hoevens wrasse, 4" starry blenny(might sell it though) 55 gallons

Don't know anything about starfish but I have a single Springer damsel doing fine (with a clownfish) and a group of 3 doing fine (with a single clownfish) as well. Even though mine have been 100% peaceful being damsels I would still make sure they are the last fish you put in.

A single damsel should be fine there. It may be the most peaceful fish of that group.

How long have you had the three Springers together? Are they still doing fine?
