sps ab+ schedule on photon V2

I would say I get good growth on all corals. Both soft and hard.

I know I'm asking a lot, but would you be willing to send me your full schedule, measurement of light from the center brace, and your par values based off measurements in your tank? I'd gladly send you some beer money via PayPal. Beats purchasing a par meter for sure.

Sorry can't do it. It's a PITA and it will still differ from tank to tank. I would ask your lfs if they have a rental program. Before I bought mines I rented an apogee from my lfs for about $20 a day. Trust me you would want to invest in a par meter. It takes the guessing out of the equation.

No worries. Thanks anyways

So I have been all over the board with my settings, but I think I realized my whites were way high. Just changed to 5% max for 7 hours on whites.

5% seems so low. What signs did you see that indicated they are too high? I ramp up to 35 on my whites.

Update...

Started to experiment with adding even more whites then before. Changed the first and the last hour to blue-pop (ch 3 & 6 only @100%)

Peek photoperiod schedule for 10 hours:

Ch1-0
Ch2-0
Ch3-100
Ch4-45
Ch5-100
Ch6-100

Had to keep a higer nitrate level of 5ppm when upping the lights "very slowly" color and growth has greatly improved. Also added another powerhead and randomize the flow.

I turned my white channel down to 16% recently since it seems like I am bleaching my corals, Blue runs at 75%

I had some zoas bleached (Darth Maul and Magicians) and a acid reflux zoa is closed. I reduced the white channel to 26 to check if improves. I am running At 28 ch1, 14 ch2, 42 ch3, ch5 and ch6 and 26 ch4. Any recommendation? Should I reduce the white channel more?
Thanks

Any updates? Great thread. I just picked up a used 150g 72x18x26h with RB Photon V2 48". Want to try CoralLabs SPS ab+ like setting but not sure what light is currently at. Will try to find settings today.
Thanks,
Todd

Holy moly i have a 120 48x24x24 and at my max settings my channel 3- 45% channel 5 and 6- 25% and channel 4-25% that is as high as intensity my lights get. I'm afraid to go any higher. Your at 100%. I feel i'd cook my corals. But looking at your tank everything looks great and happy. Maybe i should be turning mine up because everything is growing but at a snails pace. I have the Photon V2's 48"
I have the same light over my 40 breeder and my max is 70 right now for 3 5 6 and the whites are only at a max of 10 lol let and only a 4 hour max intensity period the corals have been doing pretty good with this setting but I feel they could be better. Let me know if you figure out that perfect program it would help me out alot

Here is my photon V2 schedule. I get great color and growth and haven't changed the settings in a while. Sorry for the sideways pic, I can't figure out how to rotate it.

Thanks all of you for posting on your lights, I just received my 4 - 32" photons for my 750xxl and real excited
to get them set up on my SPS dominated tank.
Wow that's gonna be a beastttttt tank make sure you post some pics when it's all up and running

I run 4 48s over my tank, and they're 14" above the water. With ch 3,5,6 at 100% and 1,2,4 at 50% I was getting about 600 par at about 6-7" below the water surface for some of my acros, and about 300 on the sandbed. I dropped the blues to 70% and other channels to 18% and I'm still 400+ PAR at the top of my rocks and 200-250 at the sandbed. They're super strong, and especially where they overlap. I was pushing the threshold on my livestock, and some are still p'ed off.

Awesome thank you . Have been dialing in lights and I changed it to your last posted settings .. mines a 36" and its sitting above a 40 breeder I'm gonna move the lights up more if I can and I think I should get good results. Are you still running this setup ?
