SPS all dying,(bleaching)

I pulled 1 frag that is still alive, one that is dying(pics at beginning of thread) and one already dead. Bayer dip for 15, then triple rinse. No black bugs. I think these are just pods?

This is not a pest issue. Likely water quality issue or a spike somewhere triggered it. Rocks don't look mature, sps all look like fresh frags, could be anything....

here is tank

Pretty!! Unfortunantly, just give it some time bud. Everytime i have sps not do so well, and i simply cannot figure out why, ill just wait it out untill things get better. There so many things that couldve went wrong for them to rtn like that but we simply dont know for sure otherwise this hobby would be easy. Check for pest first, do some dips, hold a steady routine wether its maitnence testing ect. Maybe run some poly filter or carbon just incase theres something toxic floating around. Give it some time and restart with them, your tanks gorgeous, sps just might not fare well just yet. How olds the tank? And do you do water changes often?

I am feeding "coral frenzy" food once a week.

Whatever got in my tank or chemistry failure appears to have happened tuesday or wednesday this week.
For a coral to "feed" on any kind of planktonic foods requires energy. If they are already weak and you aren't seeing really good polyp extension they won't eat those foods. In that case the only "foods" that can help are light (photosynthesis) and maybe amino acids.
Wish I could help more, but can't think of what else you can do. Hope things turn around for you.

As someone above said, you may never know the cause.

RTN is usually bacterial. Whether the bacteria are the causitive agent or is simply an opportunist is up for debate, but at the lesion line bacteria is feeding on the coral tissue. I have found that covering that line all the way around with a smear of superglue will sometimes halt the spread allowing me to save the still unaffected tips.

You said you were dosing H2O2 which in my experience is fine except for a couple of potential problems. First it significantly lowers a corals tolerance to light stress, especially in warm weather, and secondly it can lead to excess dissoled organic carbon if it causes a massive die off of cyano. Excess organic carbons have been implicated in RTN, often only becomming evident after 2 weeks.

Water changes/GAC - and possibly an antibiotic.

There are many things it could be, but if it were me I would do the following:

Add carbon if you are not running it currently.
Feed extra at least 3 times a week.
Double check parameters with other test kits or at the lfs. --- especially alk and salinity
Increase mag closer to 1300
Increase salinity to a bit - 1.023 is at very edge of ok --- if refractometer is off just a touch it could be dangerously low.
Check for stray voltage in tank
Get a triton water test
Get a backup temp gage if you dont have one already and make sure temp really is 77

temp is double checked using 3 diferent temp gauges.

Im workinng to get paramteres(mg, salinity) up for the next 3-5 days.

Stray voltage is not an issue in my opinion. Heater is not powered and pumps are all DC.

Using Instant Ocean Reef crystals.

Should I add some vodka?????

Carbon dosing? Can be risky. Without dosing beneficial bacteria like microbacter7, you could have another issue of bacterial blooms. What made you think you should carbon dose?

was mentioned in this post
I think those folks said to add carbon. Not carbon dosing. Those two methods aren't the same. Activated carbon absorbs and carbon dosing binds. The two target different things.

Activated carbon will reduce toxins and absorb organics free floating in the water
Carbon dosing binds to nitrates and phosphates for removal.

It would be a contradiction for us to suggest you dose nitrates only to remove them with carbon dosing.

Here is a good reference

Sorry looking for a specific bayer post, came across this one. Seems to be another post that the person uses bayer and has "random" rtn?

Stop using bayer and see if it helps. Did for me.
