Mt DT is a Red Sea Reefer 170. Its been up for a couple of months and in general is thriving. Mixed reef and I'm just starting to add SPS. Water parameters are spot on. My Banggai Cardinal doesn't like the flow in Reef Crest Mode, which is what I run my MP10 on. When I shut pump lower he really swims around more. I just got the wireless card for the MP10 and Reeflink and want to vary the flow somewhat between modes. My question is, will the SPS tolerate periods of say an hour of lower flow to give the fish a little break? If not, I'll just move to a different lower flow tank. I've got mixture of Acros and Montis. They are thriving so far.

My fliw changes all day long and night. Sometimes I have what I call crazy flow and sometimes pumps shut off or slow down. Being pounded 24/7 to me is not a requirement for any sea dwelling creature.

Yes vary your flow during the day and night. Thats the advantage of the vortech pump.
