A local pet store has some amazing platinum clowns that I want but hes only selling them as a set with a green bubble tip.

I have mostly sps inmy tank with not a lot of rock real a state left.
Will an anemone sting my sps?
I have seen other peoples tank builds and I see them in there just not sure if he has found hos place and then placed corals around it or if they just let there sps get stung...i put this in this section bc i care more about my sps then i would of an anemone

Thank you

The problem with E. quadricolors (( bubble tip )) is that they are rock dwelling anemones that can/will sting SPS. In addition, they have a habit of splitting, and the clone may move around your rocks "looking" for a new spot, and could come into contact with a lot of SPS during that time.

For myself, I will only keep sandbed dwelling anemones with SPS.

The anemone can sting the sps as it moves around and whatever is in the area it wants...you'll be doing some rearranging as the anemone moves around if you dont want anything to get stung. The stings will damage small areas at first and you can move the sps when it starts.

I would buy the set and sell the nem. It would be too risky to put the bubbletip in there with the SPS, IMO. Eventually it will move and sting your favorite corals first. LOL

See if you can sub the nem for a SPS frag.

Yeah I guess I will just sell it. I have a gold torch hopefully they will host in that.
