Sps browning out suddenly

Not sure where you are located, but in the Spring/Summer the quality of my house water decreases drastically. I am not sure why, partly may be temp-related. In short, TDS coming out of my tap jumps substantially starting in April and I burn through filters and resin much faster until winter returns. Sounds like your swapping filters this week, which I think is a good idea. Just thought I'd share another possible theory...related to the RODI idea just mentioned, but with a seasonal twist!

Unfortunately there is something wrong with the parameters in the tank. Most of of my sps have started browning out and most zoa and mushrooms are closed for the last few days.

The only thing I did differently is add 6 drops of zeofood plus each day this week. Opposed to twice per week.

Another theory a two weeks ago I lost the cap of my Mo10 inside the rock cave and tried to blow it out stirring up sand that hasn’t been moved in over a year. Some of the corals immediately started expelling algae.

My alk is about a 1dkh higher than normal. See the slimmer below. It’s tips were white growth tips now turned brown.

Bleaching tips is usually from too much light ( Highly doubt you have changed anything par wise) or from alk swings or too high of alk.
When in doubt recalibrate whatever you use to test salinity and compare your alk results to a new test kit.
Usually I have noticed browning out acros from phosphate issues

I know I’m close to changing out my cartridges so I looked at the tds meter and it’s still showing zero. Will. Hangs out this weekend.

My water is dirty though almost 700 tds pre filters.

Yeah this was brown tips. When you see brown is the phos high or low?

On the long road to recovery. Getting good PE today after a WC and coral snow. I think by august all color should be back.

My bob marely zoa still haven’t opened all the way

The wild acro has a long way to color up. No real PE yet.
