Hello all recently added a pink stylo and a bird's of paradise to my tank. They are about 10 inches away from my light a maxspect razor. The skeleton are whitish but when light is off I notice a pink color to them. I just lowered my white lights to get no more than 40% I had them as high as 65%. They have good polyp extension, nutrient levels, calcium, alk and mag all good. Is it that I bleached them or am I expecting too much from frags been in my system 3 weeks. Thanks

I would say you may have bleached them. Put them at the bottom of the tank and work your way up. Maybe for a week put then in a shaded area. Those types of sps can be kept at low or high light, mid to high flow.

I would move them down in your tanks. Sps can take some time to acclimate to your light

I mentioned to guy at lfs who is pretty knowledgeable (where I bought corals) about that he said put them right up there, could l lower my white down to 20% because I crazy glued my frags in place

Stick a knife between the glue and rock and twist to easily pry off the piece. You can turn down your lights, sure, but how will that affect all your other coral...?
Should be ok tho... haha

After time they will acclimate but they need to be acclimated slowly. I also have a R420r 16k 160watt. My Purple Stylo and Green Birdsnest are about 10-12 inches from the light with the 120 lenses. It took a long time to adjust the lighting but now my lights are at ch1 65% ch2 90%. The rest of my new frags are about 15-16 inches from the light on a rack on the side glass.
