Hello,
I have 2 types of birdsnest I bought recently, both have been browning, losing color and their nice looks. its suppose to be the easier of sps apparently , and I have other sps that are doing ok.. although their growth is little to none... they look good at least!
here are my tests from this morning, before my water change.
cal 410
alk 8
mag 1380
ph 8.4
nitrate 2ppm.
my question is concerning nitrate. I know its suppose to be lowest but don't sps and coral need nitrate too? ive been reading some posts where they have been feeding more and their birdsnests color back up. ive tried different locations too, off to the side and under direct lighting. any suggestions?
currently have skimmer off, only running chaeto refugium. growing very fast.
