Hello everyone.

I'm absolutely loss to this problem. I already lost 4 colonies and I don't know the cause. The sps seem to be dying from the tips. Polybs are out seems fine but they start dying and necrosis starts to get the whole piece.

I did an icp nothing was found... I'm attaching the icp result.

Also no Alk swings I'm using trident and a Calc tractor to keep everything stable.

You can the parameters of the tank in the icp result :)

I do have a case of fw and nudis. I'm already fighting those. Using aefw-x from fauna Marin and purge from aquatic creations. The problem is before the Dosing so I know it's not the product.

I also decrease the light intensity just in case I was burning the pieces when growing....

I don't know what else to do. I'm also posting pics so you can have a reference.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks in advance. IMG_20210324_222842.jpg IMG_20210201_213457.jpg

I don't have personal experience with it, but BRS and WWC all claim that dosing aminos can help bring back dying coral. May be worth a shot. Something like Brightwell aminos or acropower.

Thanks for the help... I have used high alk around 10.

If thats the cause. What could be a good alk value? Im starting to think its high alk and low nutrients

Any changes to tank hardware or filtering such as new lights, powerheads, or GFO?
No...
Were they all placed in the same area or all in different areas.
They are in the same area...

What are your nutrient levels ?

sound like high alk along with low nutrients .
Light intensity being too bright could also be a contributing factor

Yup had an algae outbreak (briopsis? However its spelled) and it rocked my sps even my tried and true tri color birdsnest. Almost died off. Defeated algae raised nutrients and everything is coming back but one acro. Feed extra for a few weeks or skim less

So are you dosing to raise ALK or just using IORC or RS Pro salt? It is common here to run closer to 8, but I see a lot of the Europeans running much higher. It is a tightrope I prefer not to walk.

You do have some PO4. While that is a low number, your actual residual is higher in the tank than that. Phosphate concentrations fall while the sample is in transit. Still, adding more fish waste is rarely a bad idea, especially when nitrates are so low.

Good luck with the flatworms. Generally, the tissue damage they cause is around the base and interior colony parts. I would not rule out them as a stress factor. I am on my third liter of AEFW-X. I hope it works for both of our sakes.

Yes I need to raise the nutrients. I always feed a lot of food. Will have to do more. Any other recommendations to increase?

You can dose potassium or sodium nitrate. There are several phosphate supplements as well. Also broadcast feeding with something like ReefRoids helps.

Well the situation is getting worse and I don't know what it is... Dipping i it's not conclusive as I don't see anything harmful.

Some grinds are suggesting it could be bugs (red or black) but I'm unsure.

Here are some new pics...

Drop the alk. That’s pretty high. I personally stay below 8 because I keep low nutrients. Even after bringing your alk down if you decide to do so, you may still see sps decline for a little while before turning around.

Following along as I have seen some of the same issues. I have nutrients to support growth, and alk about 8.

I thinks it's biological. The tanks just done have to biodiversity or maturity to support the acros. I'm doing some testing now with true LR to see if that helps.

This seems to be biological I think vibrio or some bacteria that's taking over the coral tissue.

Any in tank treatment suggestion is welcome.

Thanks...
