I have same light 25% red green white n 75% violets n blues it's not the light imo what do you have for fish in the aquarium and how old is the tank?

Meant .03 barely existent
75% blues 25% white, 10" above water line
I test with Salifert only

9 month old tank
Coris wrasse
2 clowns
Cleaner fish
Azure damsel
Tailspot blenny
Firefish

If it’s 0.03 po4 then you need to bring your alk down closer to 8.0. I mount my hydras 16” above the water and blast my acros. You could probably raise them to 15” and turn them up. 10” can cause led burns.

I should of stated that I just turned my blue lights up to 75%. They were at 55-60% when I noticed my corals turning brown. I'm having reef breeders check my LEDs, but the fixture is less than a year old

Feed your fish best bet your light is great. We're the corals always brown. They need food fish poop or supplements like roids or chilli

Also how long were the corals in the tank prior to this happening?

Corals just started turning this way for last 3 months. They were brightly colored blues, reds, and green, especially montis, which were so big and colorful.

I feed heavy once a day with reef roids, frozen brine, oyster eggs, selcon, and flake.

Hmm I'd suggest turning your lights back down but I doubt it's that. I think it's not enough fish n eco system but who knows sorry for your loss :( keep your head high n things will turn up

What does alot of coraline algae mean in my case?
Any recommendations on fish additions?

Means your parameters are great! Did you get rock with coraline on it or did you seed your tank? As far as fish would depend on tank size. I've got a scopas, yellow tail chrom, coral beaut, n lenny the scooter in a 40b most would say too small of a tank but they all love eachother n swim around plenty! I feed frozen half cubes 2-3 times a day n on occasion flake n good ol sea veggies but there really into there meaty food lol as well as roids twice a week with Sunday water changes. Every person has what works for them and a lot of people have to buy the newest products but my 40b is as simple as it gets n thrives I don't know brosky get what you want :)

So you think LEDs can cause burn when mounted 10" or closer to water level?

I am starting to believe this myself, even if corals are placed in under 200 par.

How about your RO water...are you at 0 TDS? Check all equipment for pontential rust/exposed magnets?

How often do you test your parameters? Those #s for the most part are pretty good...although alk is a bit high. I'm wondering if it was even higher than that at some point before your recent tests. If you're only testing periodically...you may miss swings in parameters.

If you had too much light...I'd think they'd be RTN from the top or turning white. I also don't think it's your lighting.

I was told that many led fixtures can burn sps less than 15”, especially the units that have fewer, but high powered leds like my hydras. I was told the g4 radions can be mounted closer because they use many more lower powered leds and have a better blending lens. My hydras are 16” and producing 500 par and haven’t burned anything since I raised them 10 months ago. Orphek recommends a minimum of 16” as well.
