Whoa... what is that?

Whoa... what is that?

It's an all blue echinata with fluoro polyps. It was collected at 25mtrs with standard icefire pigmentation, blue/white with white polyps. Thought it would interest you guys to see how one off color variants come into existence most of the time - luck. I need to start giving bits to my mates to back it up in case my tank explodes or something lol.

Taken outside standing in the rain.....

what combo of t5s do you use?
Not sure on everyone else,

I'm currently running 6 blue+ with 2 purple+ on the 2 bulb channel of my ATI 8x54, supplemented by a 4' reefbrite tech strip. The tech strip is on 11 hours a day, blue + for 8.5 and purple plus 7.5 hours. This combo gives me great growth and color @ about 10-11" off the water surface. I've swapped out a p+ with coral+ and it worked well. Looks slightly better but a little more white. Seemed like i sacrificed overall color.

At one point i swapped a p+ for a Giesemann AquaBlue Plus and the color was outstanding and natural looking. Overtime it seemed like the color of my sticks slowly washed out, so i swapped back. A few weeks later all was back to normal. I may play around with some actinics when the time comes for new bulbs. Still going back and forth.
