I just added my first acro frags yesterday after my test monti digi started taking off. I have Red Sea reef energy AB and Reef Roids and was wondering what others would suggest as an appropriate regimen and what times to feed at. I have 11 small frags in total now. The tank doesn’t have any fish in it currently as I’m quarantining and letting the DT run fallow as I had a minor ich outbreak that fortunately didn’t result in any mortalities, so I want to make sure they all get fed.

My thought was to dose the Reef Energy during the daylight peak PAR hours and then target feed the reef roids after lights out, during the brief moonlight period.

I'd say a careful with both of those products. Being heavy handed will find your phos (roids) and nitrate (energy) sky rocketing.

Yeah, I know, but with no fish in the tank and no fish food going in, they’re going to be starved of nitrate/phos over time if I don’t. Once the fallow period ends, I’ll cut back to once or twice a week.

I’d only use roids to hopefully keep nutrients up in the absence of fish. I dose reef energy but very sparingly. Test your nutrients as you add things in. The aminos in reef energy can send your tank into an algae forest if overdone.

Yea. Just so you know, I dosed reef engery over 4 days, less than the recommended amount and my nitrate went from about 10 to 20 - 36. Just so you know.....

I just checked my water today and nitrates are 2ppm right now, with .02ppm phosphate; I dosed the last two days. I’m only adding a very small amount. I’ll test again in a few days to monitor things.

I’m still curious about the best time of the day to feed these things, though.

I use Easyreefs SPS Evo on a doser throughout the day. I found it better than Reef Energy and roids.

I also use Easyreefs SPS Evo (and easybooster phyto) on dosers even thought I don't have a heavy SPS tank, and I find even my NPS really benefit from it - plus way cleaner and regulated. I can see a significant difference using that vs the RedSea Energy A and B or even the AB+ (I tried both).

If you really want to stick with a powder in addition, I use Coral Feast and my target fed LPS really respond well to that - much better than they did with roids. It also seems to keep my nutrients more stable.

I'm with those that use Easyreefs SPS evo via a doser. I also add a capful of Brightwells CoralAmino weekly to my ATO water. Easyreef SPS is dosed @ 4ml per night

What are y’all using for the easy adapter 25? It’s out of stock everywhere.

Your's didn't come with adapter? On the larger one adapter is extra, small unit is supposed to come with adapter

I use benereef 3 to 4 times a week acropower once a week and brightwell aminos every day phos at 0.03 and frags look happy

Nope. I ordered mine from BRS. Maybe there’s don’t come with one?

I’m sorry. I ordered the easysps from coralvue but the easybooster from brs. The easybooster came in first, but it’s still missing the adapter.
