I am new to the sps corals. I bought several Acropora during the aqua SD sale and I’m not sure if I have enough flow. The polyps are extending and swing around a bit but not constant. I have a custom cube. Measurements are 27x27x15 with a water height of 12” my parameters are pretty stable with alk 10.5, cal 440-460 ph 7.8-8.1 and a temperature of 80. For flow I have a mp10 and a Jebao sw4. My return is a jebao 3500 set to 80% Do you guys think this is enough flow?

For me acro flow is the ability to create a varied flow that has crests during the day of around 50x your tank volume and doesn’t effect the sand bed.

Agree with the above. I dial my mp40s to the point where it is moving some sand, but not blowing it around. Thats my level - for reefer 250, i run my opposite side two mp40s at apprx 50% on average.

If I had to guess I’d be around 2500 gph in flow. It’s a 35 gallon tank. Wonder if I should back my mp10 down a little as it always blows sand into my acans. I just never see polyp extension at the distal tip of Acro. The coralites all show extension but the final polyp only ever comes out at night.

Here are some pictures of the tank. I have aquatic life hybrid with ati blue plus and hydra 26

Not many acros have pe all the time most is night or close to night it have a ramping period.

Very tiny list of examples of lesser pe acro
Echinina and some stags.
