This may be a redundant post but I cannot find the other one. I am in a SPS growth competition and need to get my three corals growing. I am running an Ultra Low nutrient System with Bio-Pellets and GFO. My corals started to pale on me so I added 8 Green Chromis and two tanks. Now my color is coming back.
If you had a choice what is your best SPS supplement? I use an Neptune APEX and Feed mode so I don’t have to worry about food lost in the filter.

  1. Rods foods
  2. Oyster Feast
  3. Roti Feast
  4. Cyclops EZE
  5. Coral Frenzy
  6. DIY foods
  7. Any other Effective
I am looking for a repeatable regimen.
Thanks

I actually feed my corals rotifers. I have to do daily maintenance on my rotifer culture, so the rotifers I pull every night go right into the tank. Corals seem to enjoy it. Has increased growth as well.

I use Amino Acids, Coral Frenzy, & freshly hatched BBS in my ULNS.

Just started reef roids. Looks promising so far. Starting at twice a week and 1/8th teaspoon per dose.

Oyster feast, zooplankton and golden pearl with a little amino acids a couple times a week

Poop and other metabolites from well-fed fish. Literally. I'm serious.

Stronger measures may be called for if you have a specific target in mind (weakened coral, one you're trying to promote even-faster growth, odd circumstance, etc) but that should be the exception.

KZ Coral Vitalizer, Pohls Extra, KZ Reef Snow....very concentrated so it doesn't take much...then I treat them to Oyster Feast, Cyclopeez, or Coral Frenzy a time or two a week. All my corals are growing like crazy mad, especially the SPS.

I feed rods food with a pinch more cyclopeze and a few drops of Arctic Pods to my fish.

Whatever is left in the water column along with fish poop seems to work.

There was a study done with various foods. Reef Roids, and Reef Chilli came out on top. (for porcilipora, and monitpora no test on acropora)

Scientific research into coral farming yields new insight into the effect of flow, food and light

I feed oyster feast, reef roids (just started), and whatever my fish don't get.

Is it just me or does the results of this study show that the super fine, ground up, powdery food like coral frenzy works better than really expensive stuff like Oysterfeast? I feed ReefPearls.
