I have a tricolor acropora, ora birdsnest the pink/green I think its called like ponape. And last a hydnophora.

My question is what's the best way to frag them?

Bingo!

If u get really into fragging get a band saw it makes fragging super easy.

It helps with chalices and some of my award sps like staghorn that gets thick or $500 eflo that doesn't frag easy.

I'm a little bit about over kill

I agree with mounting them on there side after fragging.they look better when grown out to

Are you able to remove the colony out of the water? This is usually the best way, so you can hit it from many angles. If not, then just good bone cutter. Hold the colony, or portion of it, with one hand, and cut with the other. then use super glue GEL, let it set then dip in and out of tank water slowly.
good luck!

needle nose pliers have worked for me. I had to break off a piece of my green slimer because it randomly decided to go necrotic. everything else is still fine though but the break was clean

punch it - if you make more frags then planned dont worry you wont regret it - the base will sprout more and every frag will grow its own colony :) $$
