I'm running an optimized version of a tank that had good success with acros and such. I just had all my stuff melt and decided to completely redo my tank. Its a nuvo fusion 20 that has an overflow into a sump. I'm running metal halides 250watt at 20,000K. I've got plenty of flow in the display tank with a jebao rw4 running full blast on pulse mode along with the return pump that came with the tank. I keep filter socks and try to keep it a low nutrient system. I'm dosing vinegar and the Reef octopus SSS15o takes care of the bacteria. I'm running a chaeto refugium for nutrient export. No sand or anything to trap detritus. All detritus gets trapped in filter socks going to and from the display tank. No fish for now. I've had it with fish poop. I may add one small fish in the distant future.
This is the second week running and I hope to see some great stuff happen with this tank.
