SPS growing but not encrusting??

About 2-3 months ago I picked up my first two SPS frags, a Digi and a Stylo. Both are growing very well and branching off but neither is encrusting at all...

I attached them to my rock by removing the plug and using gel super glue and epoxy.

Is there a reason why they arent encrusting? is this a bad sign?

Some encrust first to make a nice base and some just grow out and don't encrust.

Personally I think it’s also a reaction to flow. Mine really never encrusted. Once I really upped the flow , they encrusted.

Mine were in high flow, both a Stylo and a Digi, and they encrusted very wide before shooting up.
