They do but "strong" can be anywhere from 200 to 700 PPFD easily depending on who you ask and what they're doing. Corals used to 200 can't instantly go to 700 no matter how much they love high light. they need time to adapt to new lights. I would try lowering it at first and slowly raising it to higher light levels.probably bleaching due to light intensity is my guess
it's directly under the light should i put it lower ? in my experience sps love strong lighting
