This dinner plate sized coral just keeps growing. Do I allow this to attach itself to the back glass? Is this an Acro?

Yes, really nice tabling acro, thats yours? very impressive! table species of acropora can sometimes be finicky.

Also it's up to you, you can let it keep encrusting up the glass, it will probably eventually form another level/table off the glass if you let it.

Or you could trim it and trade/sell the frags

Thank you. I decided to let it grow up the glass. Hope it does for new tables.

Yes it's an acro. At first glance I thought efflo, but looking closely I'm not so sure. Whatever the species, it's an impressive colony.

Nothing cooler than a "stair stepping" table acro in a reef, really makes it look natural.

Start a thread and share some details about your tank! again, big table acros are really Impressive.
I, along with many other users would love to hear about and see your setup.

Take a few more close up pics at different angles, I bet we could nail down the species for you!

No you shouldn't. First thing you should do is frag it and send a couple of frags to your fellow reefers to confirm if it is okay to grow in the glass......J/K. Let it grow it would probably look cool.

Pic is blurry, but reminds me of my old tables.

Pic is way too far away/blurry to see details but from what I can see I'm thinking one of the following : Acropora bifurcata, A. cytherea or A. hyacinthus.

I think you may need to frag this. :D Looks like it’s getting out of hand.
Only been doing this for a year. Fragging requires skills that I am working on. Plus this tank takes a ton of my free time. I keep losing girlfriends because they say I love my tank more than them... hmmmm

Ha...you have the same problem as me...before I got married anyway.

If this is your first tank...WELL DONE!
