Picked up this beautiful piece and they said it was called sonic boom. Is this the actual name of it or just one they came up with? Can’t seem to find more pics of it :/

It’s an Acropora, I’m not sure of the name though. Google gives me a “Vivid’s Sonic Boom” but there aren’t many photos to compare.

It could be a Sonic Boom but generally I don't trust the LFS's labeled name unless they sourced it from a play like WWC/Jason Fox/etc., especially with Acros since they can and will change colors based on lighting conditions and nutrient levels. If you don't mind me asking, what price did you pay for it? That's a pretty sizeable frag of a named variety.

They gave me a fairly good deal on it (I think), I believe I paid $65?

The mother colony was in their huuuuuge tank (like 12 + foot long tank) and it was beautiful. Very green/blue'ish but mostly green..

I️ love it! I️ just can’t recall if it had Big poly extension or anything. I️ guess I️ have to go to the Lfs again and see exactly what the mother colony looked like. I️ like to compare my frags and document their progress. I️ can’t tell if this one is as healthy as it can be

It looks a bit like Austera to me, but hard to tell.

There seems to be a bit of dead tissue on the bottom-right. Pay attention to that.

Looks like Acropora squarrosa of some kind.. But if you wanna sell it, you can call it "Vahanyos FruityPebbles Grandeloso"
