Thanks Ranjib and NB Reefer. Wasn't sure if it was Green Slimer or a Highlighter Stag.

I’m agreeing with the cat. I have a Jason fox super green stag that looks very similar to that. There are literally dozens of different acro species that have that brilliant green color but not all are the true green slimer. Doesn’t detract from your piece one bit though!

So... do I cut it to see how slimy it gets? Most acros slime, will I tell the difference? :)

Back when people were into 10 and 14k lit tanks, there was an A. Austera that would get greenish yellow that people would call a "Yellow Tort." It was not true yellow, but it had some yellow hints to it under this lighting. That same coral would look plenty green under a heavy-blue spectrum. In any case, I feel pretty good about A. Austera on this one.

That’s because it probably is a Green tort now with all the LED and T5 lighting!

True, no one runs 10k lighting which is what really made that coral shine a yellow sheen to it. I am probably dropping the radiums for a 10k bulb and once I decided to do that is when I started looking for that coral but it seems it’s gone.

Hi Paul,

When jda mentioned "yellow tort", I looked it up and found some pictures on the net that has the same growth pattern with what I got right now. This thing with the rounded coralites and "tabling" growth is similar to images that came back as Shawn Bennett Yellow Tort. Here are some updated pics of the directly horizontal view of the acro and the encrusting pattern that may lead to a more positive ID. Finally, when shelter in place gets lifted, I can cut you branch if you meet up closer to Tysons.
