Hey y'all,

I bought the below SPS from my LFS about 4 months ago. It was a 1" frag with 1 stalk. It is now about 4-5" and really bushy. My LFS didn't know what it was, but for the $5 I paid for it I thought it was a good deal and it has become one of my favorites now. If anyone knows what it might be it would be appreciated, I am starting a document with the names of the corals I have in my tank. Thanks y'all! :-)

I've identified the genus; horseshoeus uptoous yassolium. It's very rare in the hobby and even the most experienced reef keepers have yet to find one.

Now,
Any good marine hobbyist would want to know your parameters because non of us really think that the horseshoeus will ever find us.

Congrats my friend and don't change a thing

It looks like a tenuis to me, and a nice one at that. In my experience, if you blast it with light you can get great variability in polyp color, like you can see in the orange passion and Walt Disney (when colored up).

Wow... If that's polyps retracted you need to teach some classes on how to get polyp extension.
I was by the tank most of the afternoon/night just waiting to see them retract and they wouldn't. Was going to see if I could force them to, but they looked so happy, lol.
