Got a few peices of this coral from a friend friend about two weeks ago and can't figure out what it is. I was thinking maybe a stylo but polyps look to big.
Thanks

Well not a stylo, acro, or other traditional “sps”. Can’t tell if it is growing on a branch or if it is the branch.

Maybe a type of branching cyphastrea?

First Guess would be a branching cyphastrea? But the PE and growth pattern are not usual.

I think its cyphastrea or something similar growing on a piece of tonga branch? Not the best picture way to much stuff on the glass and to much blue it's just a guess with the information provided

Oculina robusta. Not allowed to be collected from the wild or sold commercially, but they sometimes come in on aquacultured rock from the keys. Nice find!
Agree, I had a good sized one on some Florida live rock
