New to SPS. I just picked up these 2 frags from my LFS. Their labelling of coral isnt the easiest to follow. Any idea what type of sps these are? Thanks!

The first one has purple polyps and the second is green with orange/reddish polyps.

I can't see well enough, so my first guess for the the second one is a forest fire digi (monipora digitata).

I looked up an image of that one and it definitely is a forest fire digi. Thanks! Any ideas on the 1st one?

My guess would be a branch of a purple stylophora?

It does look very similar to that only the branch seems much thinner. Are stylophora usually more club-like?

Usually the stylo will "club" at the end, however the thickness is largely can be variable depending on flow and the extension/retraction of their polyps. For example, in this picture you can see a wide variety of shapes if you were to cut somewhere.

That being said, I'm not certain it's a purple stylo :) I just know it would be possible for a frag of purple stylo to look like that. Hopefully a better stick head will come along and set the record straight :)
