I would love to get some eyes on my ICP test. I am not dosing anything other than ESV B-ionic 2 part and am using Tropic Marin Pro Salt. Certainly low iodine jumps out at me and I will start to do a little supplementation. Anyone have issues with low Fluorine, Molybdenum, Manganese, and Vanadium?

Aluminum appears high but I looked at Triton's setpoint numbers as well and it seems they use 2.0ug/L instead of ATI using 0.1ug/L.

Looking pretty good to me. As long as you are doing regular water changes, 20% a month, that will keep minor trace elemnents up. Your alk is a bit low imo but TMPR salt mixes at 7 dkh so it matches your salt so as long as its kept stable its fine. Iodine is used up fast and binds to other things so it almost always will test at or near 0. I dose Lugols weekly as my ICP tests come back at 0.00 every time. Just my 2 cents but I like the ICP Analysis test personally. Turn around time is really fast and its way easier to read the test result as it reported in ppm or ppb which most reefer hobbiest understand.

Not to steal the thread but where did you get your lugols? I'm interested in trying and want to get the right thing.

I did buy some TLF Iodine today. I'll try to underdose so that I don't overcorrect. I did have a short stint of no water changes (maybe 2 months max) due to fighting dinos but have been back on track with them every 1-2 weeks. May be the cause for a couple of those lower levels.

I know brightwell aquatics sells it among some other companies.

Iodine isn't a big deal (unless you're growing macro algae) imo but could be raised, it's way worse to overdose by a lot though. Alkalinity is low imo, and nitrate is high relative to phosphate. I think raising phosphate slightly or lowering nitrate to half or a quarter of what it is now would be more optimal.

Ordered it from BRS with a few other items. Using Brightwells Lugols. I do have a macro algae fuge as many do. I get really gooe color from my sps but can say its all from dosing iodine since there are many other factors but I would say it has helped. I under dose it as well 1 drop in a 75g tank once a week.

Nice thing is my dKH matched my Salifert kit perfectly. I did let is drop a little but 7dKH doesn't bother me too much. I'm trying to slow get it back up to about 8dKH.

I do have a nasty strain of turf algae in my display and it makes me wonder if that is also sucking up some of the Iodine. We'll see if dosing fuels it even more. I've been trying to raise PO4 lately with dosing but again I think the turf algae utilizes it too well.

Oddly enough my Salifert NO3 kit had measured 5-10ppm for the last couple months. I checked last night and it was 5ppm. So the kit could be reading a little low possibly but I don't test it too often since it has been relatively stable.

Then I wouldn't dose iodine, add some urchins maybe. Herbivores of whatever kind are extremely helpful imo tangs, snails, etc. Whatever you need to keep you with demand. Turf is tough though, so urchins would probably be the best bet. My nyos reads 1 notch high compared to icp as well.

Sadly I have 3 tuxedos and they barely touch the stuff. Hopefully I will be able to outcompete it with coral as time goes on...
