SPS Lagoon without protein skimmer

Could you post an update on how the abro is growing? Not many of us get to see a nice colony like that in captivity :)

First, your tank looks great!
Second, what is the big deal with a skimmer. You are doing so much extra maintenance & using numerous other types of filtration.

I don't get what it is actually doing to help.

We all know great tanks happen numerous ways, with skimmers and without.

Thank you.
The only maintenance I have to do every other day is filtration pads replacement it takes me 25 seconds, rest of the time I spend in front of my take enjoying my corals.
In my opinion all kind of automatic roller mat its a future.

Just......WOW!

The colours on these SPS is amazing!

Keep your system clean, good water turnover (10xvolume of the display), do not over feed your fish, let the biology does job for You and you will enjoy your aquarium ;)
Great Tank! No Skimmer amazing! So the corals are eating the bacteria ? Do you introduce carbon dosing to feed the bacteria which then feed the corals?

Nice sarmentosa! Great light coloration and nice pink tips, guessing its aussie since its growing more spaced out? The abro is going to look amazing once the old base starts shooting out branches, cant wait to see that pic :)

Generally speaking you are right. I dose 1/10 amount of carbon recommended by KZ. Please don’t forget that main source of power for corals is light.
