Having some issues lately with my few sps and a few of my lps all my zoa's, shrooms and most my lps seem happy. My green birds nest and few montis are loosing polyps and color also my trumpet coral and orange fungia haven't been opening up. My parameters are temp:77-78, salinity: 1.025, pH: 8.2, nitates 4, phosphate: 0 (can't seem to get it up at all), calcium: 450, alkalinity: 7.4, magnesium: 1260 using a hydra 26 for light over my IM nuvo 40, running ab+ schedule. Any input is appreciated hate to loose my corals. Tank is about 5 months old. I should add I do 1/2 gal daily water changes using tropic marin pro reef salk.

Get that Po4 up how every you can slowly. Corals may be starving. Are you using any coral foods or aminos? I use Brightwell Aquatics NeoPhos plus aminos and coral food to avoid 0 readings. Took me about a week of dosing for readings to show on my Hanna Checker from 0.

I only have 2 saddleback clowns in the tank and feed rods or lfs every day or every other day. I will look into brightwell aminos for sure to help get my po4 up. I use saliferts test kit but have never have had a po4 reading since I've had the tank set up. I also have reef roids be haven't used it in awhile. I'm also in the process of setting a new 60 cube with a sump and have a aquatic life fixture i will be be using to add 4 blue plus t5's.

def increase phos a bit, everything else looks good. make sure your flow and skimmer are working properly- low 02 can also cause negative impact but the rest looks right. I hope increasing phos helps!

Thanks would co2 have any impact? Was just thinking with it being summer and windows closed all the time with the AC on. Along with 2 adults 2 kids and 3 dogs in the house.

You want phosphates at about .03 ppm. I would suggest dosing Neophos by I think Brightwell. You can get it at BRS. Getting the phosphate up is the most obvious solution. It might not work, but it is something to check.
