Just curious to find out how many of you guys / gals out there in the reefing world manipulate their SPS frag to grow (a certain way) . . or are you just happy that they're surviving, growing and doesn't matter which way they grow.

I have a red planet frag glued onto a Tonga branch, (aiming my MP10) towards the frag - trying to make it grow / lean towards the left of my tank. Looking to cause a overhang effect.

post pictures if you can

I found that having multiple frags of the same SPS coral in close proximity causes them to form a colony faster and get better growth as well. Also I found if you have a mini colony by breaking off branches and gluing them close by you'll get the same effect. Here are a few

Also the colors are looking a bit blah lately due to a ULNS- mainly nitrate issue. This past week I've been dosing Brightwell NeoNitro and I've seen great improvement in color. Tank came down with Ich and is currently fishless and about 50 days in with no fish. Another month or so and I should be back to adding fish.
