Any reputable LFS would not sell a freshly cut acro without signs of growth and healing.

SHYSTERS.... In my book bc IMO fresh cut acros have about a 5% survival rate going from one tank to another without healing

You have terrible luck or are doing something wrong. I have bought a hundreds of fresh cuts locally and rarely lost a frag.

Yes it's gone. Honestly the pic you had where it was already half gone, there wasn't any saving it at that point already.
