I was hoping I could get some help with identifying what's happening to my acropora. For about 5 months this acropora has been having die off from the base of the branches.

Nitrates: 5ppm
Phosphate: 0.077ppm
Akalinty: was 9.6kh but has drop down to 8.5kh in 3 months
Calcium: 440ppm was 360ppm back in November
Magnesium:1350ppm

I should also say that i redid my aquascape but this was happening before then.

It looks pretty dense, branch wise. Perhaps the lower branches are not getting enough light.
This happened to my birdsnest.
Might be unavoidable, the way it grows.

I was thinking the same thing. I'm thinking of getting a t5 hybrid to work with my leds

I don't think its flow. I say this because I can see plenty of movement from the polyps.

Could you post a pic that is both more in focus and zoomed in?

Not necessarily but it looks like there still might be zoox in the area where polyps are lost. However, the picture isn't clear enough to make that distinction.
