I've got a 34 gallon QT tank for coral. Running a Radion XR15w Gen 4. Small HOB skimmer ,chemipure/purigen, in a media rack, ATO with Kalk and a MP10w powerhead running on reefcrest mode.

Plan is to QT all SPS for 3 months for pests as well as not introducing parasites to the fish. For those of you who QT your coral.... Are you noticing that the frags are once again going through a re-acclimation to the DT (i.e browning etc) . I run a gen 3 pro on SPS Ab+ PAR levels 250-400 (Gen 4 in (QT 250-300 on same program) but I also have to supplement with 2 t5 retrofits for shadowing in the DT.

Am I basically starting the re-acclimation process all over in the display? Am I better off with a shorter QT?

If tank parameters are right then you shouldn't go through to much changes. 2 weeks to a month for me and they are fine and will start to encrust again. I have 2 qt tanks and qt batches every 3 months at a time. I think the health and wither it is aqua culture or Marine culture also matters a lot. For me...marines usualy will brown more then aqua culture. I order lots from online user that have captives kept mother colonies for years and they transition much better and those usually never brown on me. LFS wild cuts are hit and miss...
