Are you still using this light? I've had one going for 2 months and love it so far. How's yours working out?

Hi friend, are you still using the Seatorch LM25?, I'm thinking of buying a couple of these in Aliexpress for the price is around half of an XR30, so then maybe worth they are claiming use CREE LEDs and meanwheel power supply I guess that the product quality is good enough, the thing is that I have not many reviews from users to know how effective are growing corals SPS mainly, do you can give some feedback about your experience?

If it costs half as much as a Radion XR30, you’ll be better off purchasing a brand name like ReeFi, Reefbreeders, etc which proved to be high quality by many reefers and doesn’t cost an arm and a leg, than to purchase a knock off with questionable warranty and no spare parts.

Hi DanyL, I think that I am confused because the cost of the Seatorch LM-25 is around $ 250 USD and the price for the Rdion XR30 is around $1,000 USD, so then there is a considerable difference. Your suggestions are excellent but unfortunately, I'm placed in Mexico, and here is no way to get either Reefi or Reefbreathers, so that is why is too much easier to get some Chinese brands using Aliexpress, than other North American brands.

I would highly suggest you not buy a light off Aliexpress that has multiple listings from different people for wildly varying prices (and likely 0 support). I'd suggest browsing the lighting forum and see what other lights people are using in the under $500 category. IMO I'd suggest skipping LED and go with T5s. Maybe find a hybrid T5/led fixture on clearance somewhere and just install T5s for now until you can add some LEDs to the middle.

I’m not sure about ReefBreders, but I do know ReeFi ships worldwide, given that I live in other side of the globe and was able to easily order it from the company’s site.
You can also contact Daniel Lu, the owner over his Facebook group and he’ll likely make that happen if for some reason shipping isn’t available on the site.

Given that the cost is in fact 1/4, and not half as was stated previously, if cost is a concern - I would still prefer to go with a company that built their own original design and branding even if it’s Chinese, rather than purchasing not so cheap knock off.
For the cheap category you can look at noopschye, nicerew, etc.

Another option like was mentioned in the reply above me is to go with T5, but it highly depends on local availability of the bulbs, unless you’re willing to ship them from Europe like some do.
